Visual Research on the Flow Field in Hydraulic Cartridge Poppet Valve with 3-D model
Abstract
In view of in hydraulic system widely used two types of poppet valves with cone in poppet core and in sleeve, considering the asymmetry of the flow field in the valve, the influence of the oil passage between the sleeve and body on the flow property, by using the same geometric structure and parameters as that of practical used poppet valves, the 3-D models for CFD were established. Adopting the finite volume method in CFD, the flow performance for these two kinds of valves separately in diverged and converged flow was visually simulated and investigated at different opening positions, different half cone angle and different flow state.
